Pea

Culture: Plant peas in the spring when the soil is ready to be worked. Peas prefer full sun and with medium rich soil. Avoid over fertilizing as plants will have big vines but low pod production. Support pea vines with a trellis. Peas are ready to harvest when the pods have reached 4" long. Harvest regularly, old peas lose their sweetness and are tough.
