Culture: Plant cucumbers in fertile, well-drained soil, after all threat of frost has past. Cucumbers grow best at temperatures between 75-80. For straight cucumbers, train vines on a trellis. Provide plenty of water as the fruit develops to avoid bitter flavors. Harvest cucumbers before they are fully mature for the best flavor.
